(More customer reviews)This book is seriously mis-advertised: it is for people who have never seen a kitchen, much less cooked in one. A recipe for pancakes actually tells you to buy already-mixed pancake batter. Gee, I wish -I'd- thought of that! Also, the author should check her facts: one cup of instant rice does not yield one cup of cooked rice when you follow package directions. It yields one and a half. There were a very few recipes that I had never thought of that I'll try, but I could have done the same with convenience foods. If you know what your microwave looks like, you're much better off with Desperation Dinners, which is excellent, and it doesn't insult your intelligence.
